Who we are

Prudent Funding Advisors is an independent commercial finance advisory firm based in New Jersey. We introduce businesses seeking capital to funding partners including merchant cash advance companies, alternative lenders and banks. We are not a lender: we do not lend money and we do not purchase receivables.

You can reach us at Info@prudentfundingadvisors.com or 732-395-1064.

What we collect today

We collect only what you give us through this website, plus a small amount of technical context attached to each submission.

  • Consultation and enquiry forms: Your name, business name, email address, phone number, approximate monthly revenue, the type of funding you are interested in, and what you write about your funding need.
  • Funding application: Business identity and address, entity type and state of formation, time in business, industry, average monthly revenue, the amount and purpose of funding requested, whether the business holds open advances or has active liens or judgments, and an owner contact including name, title, ownership percentage, email, mobile number and self-reported credit range.
  • Documents you upload: When your advisor asks for them, business bank statements and a voided business check, sent through a private link rather than by email. They are encrypted individually before they are stored, using the same managed key vault that protects the identity information described below, and the storage they rest in is not reachable from the public internet. We ask only for business records; we do not ask you to upload a passport, a driver’s license or anything showing a bank password.
  • Technical context: Your browser user agent, the page that referred you, and the network portion of your IP address. We truncate the address to its /24 network before storing it, so it evidences that a submission came from a distinct network without identifying an individual device.

What we do not collect

No form on this website asks for a passport number, or for any bank account or routing number. We do not take card details or bank credentials anywhere, at any stage.

The identity information we do collect is set out in the next section, including how it is protected and how long it is kept.

Identity information

To place an application with a funding partner we collect identity information about the business owners, because the partners’ own application forms require it.

What we collect, for up to two owners: Social Security number, date of birth, and driver’s license number and issuing state, alongside residential address and years at that address. At business level, the federal tax identification number.

How it is protected: each value is encrypted individually before it is stored, using a key held in a managed key vault that this application can use but cannot export. No screen on this website ever displays a full Social Security number — only the last four digits, so you and your advisor can confirm which number is on file without it being readable on a screen, in a screen share, or in a screenshot.

Who it is shared with: the funding partner considering your application. There is one further recipient and only one, and it receives an address rather than an identity: while you are typing your home address, the text you have typed is sent to Google’s address lookup service so that it can suggest completions. It receives that text and nothing else — not your name, not your Social Security number, date of birth or driver’s license number, and not your IP address, because the request is made by our servers rather than by your browser. Everything else is unchanged: your identity information is not placed in our customer relationship management system, it does not appear in our application logs, and it is never sent to any analytics service.

How long it is kept: destroyed 90 days after a funding decision is reached on your application. The rest of your application record is kept beyond that point; the identity information is not.

You are asked for it at the last step of the application, after everything else, so that you can see what you are applying for before deciding whether to provide it.

Documents and electronic signature

Not yet in effect

Later in the process you will be asked to supply business documents, typically four to six months of bank statements, and to sign your application electronically.

When you sign, we will email you a link to your executed application rather than the document itself, so that the copy remains under the protections described here and within the retention period stated above. You will be able to download and keep your own copy, and the page will tell you the date after which the link stops working.

Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
  • To assess your funding request and, with your authorization, present it to funding partners who may be able to meet it.
  • To meet our record-keeping obligations as an introducer of finance.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it with the funding partners we approach on your behalf, and with the service providers who operate this website and our systems. Documents you upload are held by our hosting provider and by nobody else. Those providers are:

  • Microsoft Azure: Hosting and storage. Your submission is stored in the United States.
  • HubSpot: Customer relationship management. Your contact details, business name and funding requirement are sent here so an advisor can work your enquiry. Identity information will never be sent to it.
  • Cloudflare: Bot protection on the application form. It checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script, and receives only the network portion of your IP address.
  • Google: Address and business lookup. When you type a business address, a business name, or your home address on the application, the text you have typed is sent to Google’s Places service so that it can suggest completions. The request is made by our servers, so Google receives that text without your IP address, and it receives nothing that identifies you — no name, no reference number, and none of the identity information described above. Suggestions are a convenience: every field stays editable, and the application can be completed by typing if the service is unavailable.
  • Resend: Email delivery. It sends the messages we write to you — confirmations and links to continue an application — and so receives your email address and the contents of those messages, which it stores in order to deliver them and to show us whether they arrived. We never put identity information in an email, so none reaches it.

Credit enquiries

Submitting an application authorizes us and our funding partners to obtain business and personal credit information in order to evaluate your request. At the application stage this is a soft enquiry and does not affect your credit score. Should a funding partner need to make a hard enquiry later, you will be told before it happens.

How long we keep it

Two periods are decided, and both are measured from the day a funding decision is reached on your application. Identity information is destroyed 90 days after that day. Documents you uploaded are destroyed on the same schedule — the file itself is deleted and the key that could open it is destroyed, so no copy remains that anybody here could read.

The rest of your submission — the application answers, our record of who we sent it to, and the technical context above — is currently retained without a fixed deletion date. Setting one is outstanding, and this section will state the period once it is decided.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to Info@prudentfundingadvisors.com. If you ask us to delete information we are required to retain as a record of a finance introduction, we will tell you what we must keep and why.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and sets no analytics cookies.

If analytics is enabled in future it will load only after you consent, and no information you type into a form will be sent to it — only the fact that a step happened, never its contents.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Nothing you type into a form is ever sent to Analytics.
